Google, the most popular search engine leading the internet, sued, as Click
Defense, an internet anti-fraud company, claims that $5 million were lost in
fake clicks. The practice of fake clicking is used to boost the amount that
advertisers pay for search campaigns, either by using a special software or
manually.
Recently, showed a survey that fake clicking raises concern of seven out of
nine internet marketers. This seems right somehow, as 38% of all received clicks
pertain to bogus clicks. On the other hand, specialists say that Click Defense
may just be in search for publicity.
