One of the internet's most recent and popular tools, the blog are now arriving
at the big companies. Once you've got the html under control, it turns out to
be a simple and efficient way of communication. But teenagers normally use it
as a diary, a place where they can share and jot down their thoughts and feelings.
Currently known as an informal thing, will the blog look unprofessional on the
big companies' sites?
First of all, we have to remember that it is only a tool. It will depend on
the experience of the person who garners information. If that person starts
to put amateurish things, of course the blog will pass on amateurish impression,
causing losses to the company. But, if that person can really put some interesting
and high quality material, then it becomes a powerful tool. The vantages of
an informal text and possibility of sharing information as soon as it arrives
give it a special charm. Plus, simplicity of the layout can make a blog a lot
easier to access rather than, as an example, a website full of animations and
pop ups. That way, a client has the choice to quickly news up-date, without
having to wait for both the website and the flash animations to load.
Of course, the blog won't rescue anyone. But, if used wisely, can become a
powerful way of promotion.
